It's been awhile, but I recently came across a new selling idea that's worth noting down for reference:
Yesterday I saw a link on Facebook to an interesting gadget auction site and lo-behold I came into my first 'penny auction' site, ChikaPowWow. The summary of my experience is as follows at the moment:
The mechanics of the bidding is not without risk. Firstly not all deals come with the "Buy Now Auction", BNA, which enables you to least have the option to buy it even if you lose and not waste those serious 'Chickas' which cost RM1.50 each.
Hence in ChickaPowWow, deals without the 'Buy Now Auction' will have the risk of losing all of the Chickas you've put in as bids if you don't win in the end.
In summary you might end up paying for another persons' item instead of winning a deal.
In this case, it's sort of like gambling where it's all or nothing!. Let the bidder beware. And if you really want to bid look out for bids that you really want and will be committed to winning it. A short search has come up with similar advice from Ms. Allison Wong on her blog.
